Fab Finds: Favorite TV Comedies

Fab Finds: Favorite TV Comedies

Sometimes you just don't have enough time to watch a full hour episode of something, not mention those dreaded two hour episodes, especially when you're tired or have a time constraint!  That's why 30 minute comedies are perfect! I love squeezing an episode in here and there, watch one while I'm eating dinner (I know, I should be a proper adult and eat at the table), but it's my down time, it's my me time.

These are some of my favorite shows I'm watching right now or just absolutely LOVE that make me literally LAUGH-OUT-LOUD!

|| 30 Rock ||

Yes, yes, yes, I'm a little late to this ballgame because I have to admit, I am CURRENTLY watching this show, but better late than never!! This show is SO hilarious and the cast is perfect!! I mean, the number of quotable lines is unreal, because "making up words won't save you!!"

|| Modern Family ||

Well, DUH.  I don't care what people say, I am still obsessed with this show because it makes me laugh so much!  I've caught myself rewinding scenes multiple times and they're still just as funny each time! Genius.

|| Blackish ||

I wish I was able to binge watch this show, but we always seem to be caught up each week! Dangit! I'm waiting for this show to receive an Emmy because the writing is so smart and relevant and the acting is on point! The kids in this this show are super impressive and even don't get me started on "Ruby" the grandmother...she deserves an Emmy herself!

|| Young & Hungry ||

You may or may not have heard of this show, but it's on what USED to be ABC Family, which is now Freeform.  I love this cast so much and am so happy to see them doing something!  When the show first aired, I was particularly excited to see "Lloyd" the perky assistant from Entourage making yet another hilarious comeback! This cast has such great chemistry and it really shows!

|| Parks & Recreation ||

This show holds such a special place in my heart.  Not for any particular reason, but I think because I fell in love with it that much.  I grew to love each one of these characters individually and watching their stories grow over time was special.  I sorta feel like this show was an underdog in the TV comedy race, yet everyone loves it.  Is that weird to think?  Anyways, this is a show that even though it's over, I can still watch it anytime and it NEVER gets old.

|| Master of None ||

Brilliant, hands down one of the best, most current shows out there.  This show is smartly written and like I said, SO current.  Aziz Ansari is a comic genius and isn't afraid of taking risks.  He writes about real life situations out there and somehow portrays them on his show in a way that comes off completely relatable.  This is a show we're chipping away little by little because we don't want it to end!

|| Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt ||

Need I said more.  If you're not watching this show, YOU. MUST.  Tina Fey has done it again with her cast and writing!  These characters are unreal and the storylines are hilarious! Ellie Kemper (Kimmy) is such a joy to watch, especially post-The Office, and I love that she's the star.  Now, Titus. He's SUCH a gem.  This guy has true talent and thank GOD they found him for this show, he is perfect!! He has a voice of an angel and his facial expressions are to die for.  Oh and you better believe I bought his PINOOOOOOOOOT Noir! It's real.

|| The Office ||

The Office.  Where do I even begin?  You are such a sweet sweet gem.  This show just has so much heart and soul.  You can really see how much care and effort the writers put into each episode and into each of the characters.  Every single thing was thought out thoroughly and it was perfectly portrayed.  I can't tell you how many times I've seen this show, it's constantly on re-play because it will never get old.  This will go down as one of the best comedies ever. #JimAndPamForever

|| Community ||

Not everybody likes community, but when you like it, you LOVE it!  It has a different kind of humor, but to me, it's hilarious! This show was so perfectly casted and each character brings so much diversity to the show.  The best though HAS to be the Dean. If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about! "Homie don't DEAN this!"

|| The Mindy Project ||

Then there's Mindy, my bestie and BFF of course!  We are seriously the same person.  I'm not kidding you, even people tell me that!  I absolutely adore her and think she's such a wonderful person.  I could go on and on for days talking about her, but her SHOW is right up my alley as well, duh.  I'm so happy Hulu picked it up after Fox let it go because I've been able to enjoy it even more!  What's funny about this show is she's living such an unrealistic life, yet she somehow makes it relatable to her viewers.  Genius I say.

|| Silicon Valley ||

Every Sunday I'm always so excited to watch Game of Thrones, because right after is SILICON VALLEY! It's the most perfect show for people who A. love nerdy things and B. don't take things too seriously.  I've listened to a ton of interviews about this show and what I've found interesting is that everything on this show is so thoroughly researched because they want to make sure all material used on the show is as authentic as possible.  I can most definitely appreciate that!

 Just a little tid bit of information, they used research from Boston Dynamics in order to create the "Bambot" in episode 1 of season 2.  Click here.  You'll watch videos for hours!  You've been warned.

|| Dr. Ken ||

This show is super fun and of course when you throw Ken Jeong in there, you know its going to be hilarious!  I think what's funny about it all is the fact that Ken Jeong is an ACTUAL doctor, IN REAL LIFE.  This is a fact, look it up!  Very clever there Dr. Ken.

|| Friends ||

Need I say more?

|| Billy on the Street ||

"We're making dreams coming true, Billy on the Street!"  That would be the theme song! Billy Eichner...thank GOD he was on Parks & Rec!  This guy is so over the top with everything he says and does, that most of the time you think "Did he REALLY just say that!?!" It's just SOOOOO good!  He has celebrity guests appear on his show and play random trivia games on the streets of New York City and it's just so funny because he treats them like normal people!!  Then he goes around the city and plays "For a Dollar" and asks SUPER random things to random people in the street and it's just ridiculously good humor.  This is a great Saturday morning watch!  (I'd let the kids sleep in a little longer while you watch this if you catch my drift!)

|| Superstore ||

This is a newer show, but I love it! I love that MOST of the cast is pretty unknown so it makes for a super fresh comedy without any judgement.  Plus, I ADORE America Ferrera! #UglyBettyWasMyJam

|| Candidly Nicole ||

Nicole Ritchie.  People love her, people hate her, but this show is SO funny!!  She decides in each episode to take on some sort of a random task or project and tries to complete them in the most obscure manner! She's super funny and I like it!  Oh, and you get a couple Lionel Ritchie cameos from time to time! BONUS!

|| The Exes ||

This show is tucked away on TV Land and it's quite funny!  Basically you have three divorced guys who move in with each other across the hall from their divorce attorney who also happens to be their landlord.  Did I mention their divorce attorney was Kristen Johnston?!  She's so good.  I know this may sound weird, but this is usually my packing show.  Whenever I'm getting ready to pack for a trip, I throw this show on and I'm good to go!  Very random, yes I know.

So there you have it, a list of a FEW of my favorite comedies! I could go on for days, but I won't...for now. Hopefully you'll check some of these shows out if you haven't already! Let me know what YOU'RE watching! I'm always down to take on another show! Feel free to comment below!
